2019 Rocori Baseball Athletes of the Year
Here are the ROCORI Baseball Athletes of the Year for the 2019 season (in no particular order):
Brady Klehr
Klehr had an impressive season in his senior year for ROCORI in 2019.
On the mound, Klehr recorded a team-high six wins in 11 total appearances. In 47.1 innings of work, he finished with a 6-2 record along with one save to grab an ERA of 2.52. Klehr gave up a total of 43 hits, 17 earned runs, 27 walks and struck out 47.
At the plate, Klehr finished with a team-best .450 batting average (which ranks 10th all-time in program history) in 24 games and 88 plate appearances. He recorded 36 hits (tied for third-most in program history), nine doubles, three triples, a team-high 23 RBI, nine runs scored and a team-high 11 stolen bases.
Jack Steil
Steil put together another outstanding season for ROCORI in his junior season.
Steil finished the season batting .406 in 24 games for the Spartans. With 89 plate appearances, he finished with 26 hits, six doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI, 25 runs scored, 24 walks and had 10 steals on the year.
On the mound, Steil finished with a 3-3 record and a 2.25 ERA in 37.1 innings of work. He appeared in a total of nine games, giving up just 27 hits, 12 earned runs, 15 walks and tallied a team-best 60 strikeouts.
Nolan Notch
In his junior season for ROCORI, Nolan Notch performed well both at the plate and on the mound for the Spartans.
Offensively, Notch tallied a batting average of .290 in 23 games and 75 plate appearances. He finished with 18 hits, five doubles, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored, five walks and seven stolen bases.
On the hill, he grabbed a 1-1 record in seven appearances and a total of 18 innings. With an ERA of 1.94, Notch gave up 20 hits, just five earned runs, seven walks and struck out 12.
Collin Eskew
During his junior year in 2019, Eskew had a dominant offensive performance for the Spartans.
In a total of 21 games, he finished with a .339 batting average in 64 plate appearances. Eskew tallied 20 hits, five doubles, two triples, 12 RBI, seven runs scored and added six stolen bases.
Rudy Notch
In his junior season for ROCORI, Rudy Notch had a solid year both offensively and on the hill.
At the plate, Notch carried a .220 batting average in 59 plate appearances, recording 11 hits, two doubles, seven RBI, 13 runs scored and five stolen bases.
On the mound, he pitched a total of 24.2 innings to grab an ERA of 2.27 in eight games. With a record of 3-0, he gave up 29 hits, just eight earned runs, seven walks and struck out 22.
Brock Humbert
As a junior, Humbert played a dual role for the Spartans both at the plate and on the mound.
Offensively in 2019, he recorded a .271 batting average in 23 games and 68 plate appearances. He ended the season with 16 hits, eight RBI, five runs scored and six walks.
On the hill, he recorded a 2.49 ERA in seven games and a total of 19.2 innings of work. Humbert gave up just 22 hits, seven earned runs, 10 walks and struck out 11.
