ROCORI Gets No. 2 Seed, Opens Section Playoffs At Home

The ROCORI Spartans baseball team will officially kick off the 2019 postseason on Tuesday night in Cold Spring.

The Spartans learned of which seed they received for the Section 5-3A Playoffs on Friday morning, finding out that they will once again open up playoff action next week at home.

ROCORI, which finished the regular season schedule with a record of 10-9 overall, received the No. 2 seed in the Section 5-3A Playoffs after compiling a QRF ranking of 96.3 (No. 17 in Class 3A) and a section record of 3-4.

To kick off the opening round of the postseason, the Spartans will take on No. 7 Zimmerman (7-12 overall) at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Cold Spring Baseball Park. ROCORI will for sure host the first two games during the section playoffs on Tuesday and Thursday right at home in Cold Spring.
