ROCORI Grabs Walk-Off Win In Regular Season Finale
COLLEGEVILLE -- The ROCORI Spartans baseball team concluded the 2019 high school baseball regular season in a big way on Thursday night in Collegeville.
The Spartans grabbed a 3-2 walk-off win over Sauk Rapids in a Central Lakes Conference contest to wrap up the regular season schedule. The game was moved to St. John's University due to poor field conditions in Cold Spring.
In the bottom of the seventh inning with the game tied 2-2, Brady Klehr brought home the game-winning run to help ROCORI to the victory.
Klehr finished the game 1-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI to lead the Spartans at the plate. Collin Eskew went 1-for-3 with one RBI, Max Hansen went 1-for-3 with one RBI and Rudy Notch and Brady Linn each added one hit and one run for ROCORI.
Jack Steil earned a complete-game win on the mound for the Spartans, giving up 10 hits, one earned run, two walks and striking out 12 in seven innings of work.
With the win, ROCORI concludes the regular season schedule with a record of 8-5 in the Central Lakes Conference and an overall record of 10-9 this season.
