2018 Rocori Baseball Athletes of the Year
Here are the Rocori baseball Athletes of the Year for the 2018 season (in no particular order):
Jack Steil
Steil had an outstanding season for Rocori in his sophomore season.
Steil finished the season batting .357 in 28 games, tallying 30 hits, five doubles, six home runs, 20 RBI, 30 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.
His six home runs on the year ties Bryan Hennen (2002) for the second-most in a single season in program history. Bruce Theisen (1978) holds the school record with seven home runs in a season.
Mason Primus
Primus once again put a nice season together for the Spartans during his final season in red and black.
At the plate, Primus recorded a batting average of .360 with a team-high 31 hits, seven doubles, one triple, two home runs, 17 RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases.
On the mound, Primus threw 21.2 innings, tallying an ERA of 2.59 in eight games. He finished with a record of 3-1, giving up 19 hits, eight earned runs, five walks and struck out 11.
Eli Emerson
Emerson was one of Rocori's go-to options on the mound during his senior season en route to being named to the Class 3A All-State Team by the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association.
On the hill, Emerson pitched 45 inning to finish with an ERA of 1.86 and a record of 5-1. He gave up 12 earned runs, 17 walks and struck out a team-high 53.
At the plate, he hit .400 in six plate appearances, recording two hits, one RBI and three runs scored.
Dylan Tebrake
His senior season may have been cut short, but Tebrake had a stellar start to the 2018 season for the Spartans.
Tebrake, who pitched a total of 19.1 innings to start the year, set a new school record (minimum of 15 innings) with a perfect .000 earned run average on the mound. During that span, he finished with a record of 2-0, giving up two hits, no earned runs, three walks while striking out 34.
At the plate, Tebrake hit .370 in nine games. He had three doubles, one home run, 11 RBI and three runs scored.
Brady Klehr
Klehr put together a nice season for Rocori in his junior season in 2018.
On the mound, Klehr recorded a team-high six wins in seven appearances. In 36.2 innings pitched, he held an ERA of 2.10, while giving up 11 earned runs, 16 walks and struck out 25.
At the plate, Klehr finished with a .333 batting average, while recording four doubles, two triples, 11 RBI, 14 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
