2017 Rocori Baseball Athletes Of The Year
Here are the five Rocori baseball Athletes of the Year for the 2017 season (in no particular order):
Williams Huls
Huls finished his senior season the top hitter on the Spartans team.
He batted .434 with five doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI and 31 runs scored, which ranks third in school history.
He also finished with 19 stolen bases, which ranks 5th all-time in school history.
Jordan Barth
Barth, along with Huls, had a great season at the plate for the Spartans.
He finished his senior season with a .418 batting average, five doubles, one triple, two home runs, 26 RBI, 18 runs scored and had six stolen bases.
Dylan Tebrake
Tebrake was dominating both on the mound and at the plate this season for Rocori.
On the mound, he finished with a record of 4-2 in 37.1 innings pitched. He had an ERA of 2.06, gave up 31 hits, 11 runs, 13 walks and struck out 49.
At the plate, Tebrake hit .319 with seven doubles, 18 RBI and five runs scored.
Brandon Gill
Gill had a nice season on the mound for the Spartans, carrying a 5-2 record in 39.2 innings.
He had an ERA of 2.12 and gave up 32 hits, 12 runs, 18 walks and struck out 34.
At the plate, he hit .281 with two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored.
Sam Young
Young had a good season at the plate for Rocori, finishing with one of the top batting averages on the Spartans team.
Young had a batting average of .386 with three doubles, seven RBI and 18 runs scored, which is tied for second-most on the team. Young also had five stolen bases.
