Rocori Falls To Willmar, 4-1
COLD SPRING -- The Rocori Spartans baseball team fell to Willmar in a Central Lakes Conference matchup on Tuesday.
The Spartans lost to the Cardinals 4-1 at the Cold Spring Baseball Park.
Rocori kicked off the scoring in the game, scoring once in the fourth inning. Willmar went on to score two runs in each the fifth and seventh innings en route to the win.
Dylan Tebrake went 1-for-3 with one RBI to lead the Spartans. William Huls went 2-for-3 with one run scored and Brandon Gill went 2-for-3 in the game.
Connor Schoborg pitched the first five innings and took the loss for the Spartans. He gave up five hits, two runs, two walks and struck out two. Eli Backes pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and Eli Emerson came into the game and pitched 2/3 of an inning for Rocori.
Drey Dirksen went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored and Garrit Kooistra went 1-for-4 with two RBI to lead Willmar.
Caleb Ditmarson pitched six innings to get the win for the Cardinals. He gave up four hits, one run, one walk and struck out three.
With the loss, Rocori fell to 9-7 in the CLC and 11-7 overall on the season.
Next up for the Spartans is a nonconference game against Belle Plaine on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at the Cold Spring Baseball Park.
